About Us

The students work group Power farmING was created from the Interdisciplinary Bachelor Project by the Centre for Teaching and Learning at TUHH. In that project, a group of freshman students are tasked with the concept, development and implementation of an algae reactor.

About me
For me, engineering is all about solving problems and all the world’s a puzzle. Power farmING can be a proving ground, to demonstrate and enhance our skill. Furthermore, this group enables me to work in an interdisciplinary environment with fantastic colleagues. It is not only about algae in Power farmING, it is just as much about the team.

About me

Since my first semester I wished for a high portion of practical work in my studies. Accordingly I participated in the Bachelor-Project during my first semester, which is about engineering a photobioreactor. As the Co-Leader of the group I can not only work in an interesting project with a contemporary problem, but also take care of a motivated team. As a tutor for the current Bachelor-Project I can show freshman students the problems at hand and interest more people for the topic.

About me
I am a part oft he Powerfarming AG because I wanted to carry out a project with a team of common interests but different backgrounds so we can all learn from each other. I am eager to apply the theoretical part of my studies to something practical and see a result that doesn’t exist exclusively on paper.

About me
I joined Power farmING, because the group gives me the opportunity to work with students from other programs. The process from developing a concept and manufacturing it all the way to testing gives me the chance to apply my theoretical studies, as well as implementing my own ideas.

About me

Power farmING offers me the opportunity to apply my theoretical knowledge in practice and to be a part of every step of the development of a photobioreactor. Furthermore, through the use of micro algae I get to know a working field of great future potential.

To me, the work in a great interdisciplinary team is also very important.
